Marshall has End Stage Renal Disease but he wanted to help his friend Conner fight childhood cancer by raising money for the St. Baldrick's Charity. Marshall was a shavee on March 6th.
Marshall and Conner was teammates on a hockey team this winter. They were both goalies. Conner is recovering from chemo-therapy treatment for childhood cancer.
Marshall said after the event, "You heard it right - I shaved my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!"
Marshall raised over $1000. Team Conner raised over $10,000 and the event on March 6th in Cary, NC netted over $70,000 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation Charity.
In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Look up St. Baldrick's on the internet and find a way that you can help.
