Marshall visits with Dr. Debbie Gipson at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI
Marshall’s July 2010 Update
Greetings, We have received a second opinion on Marshall’s condition. His former nephrologist from Aug 2005 to Dec 2009, Dr. Debbie Gipson, is now at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. We had an appointment with her and the UMICH Transplant Team on Tuesday, June 29th at the University of Michigan Health Center. We left Sunday, June 27th to drive up to Michigan and came back on Wednesday, June 30th. The UMICH transplant team has recently concluded that he should be transplanted sooner rather than later. The transplant operation will probably be during the first few days in September. TENTATIVE TRANSPLANT DATE - SEP 2, 2010 We’ll all go back to Michigan for the operation during the last week of August. Please keep Marshall; his donor, Karen; and the entire staff at UMICH in your prayers. We will post news of the transplant and Marshall's recovery on this website. Marshall says, “I’ll stop the puck. You can stop the pain. Keep kids like me in the game. Become an organ donor!” “Don’t take your organs to heaven; heaven knows we need them here.”
May God bless you and all those in whose love you live, Phil +, Susan, and Marshall Taylor

This site was made possible by a very generous donation. The anonymous donor said, "I want this site to help Marshall and as many other transplant patients as possible." We are honored and humbled as recipients of this gift and we will make every effort to insure that many others in the transplant community are helped through this site. If you have suggestions about how this site can best benefit the whole community, please go to the REQUEST INFO page and send us your comments.
